Our guided tours

Have you always wanted to be guided through the zoo by an expert to find out more about our animals?

Are you interested in a particular species or group of animals?

Then we have just the right offer for you!

On request, we can organise special guided tours, evening tours or workshops according to your wishes. We are also happy to organise your animal stag/hen party for you!

Due to high demand, we recommend booking your preferred date at least 4 weeks in advance.

We are delighted that Neumünster Zoo has been certified as an educational zoo by the German Wildlife Park Association. We are very proud that the high standard of our environmental education work has also been recognised by the professional association

 

Guided tours

We offer themed guided tours for adults by arrangement. Guided by a member of staff, you will gain exciting and interesting insights into the lives of our animals and the logistics of our zoo.

Participants: max. 25 people

Guided tour for adults: Cost: € 65 plus admission

Duration: 90 minutes

Evening tour: Cost: €80 plus admission

Duration: 90 minutes

 

Guided tours for animal sponsors

Only as an animal sponsor can you book an exclusive "sponsored tour" of your favourite animal. The animal keepers will give you an exclusive look behind the scenes and, if you wish, you can get very close to your favourite animal for those animals where direct contact is not dangerous.

Participants: only animal sponsors - max. 2 people
Sponsored tour: Cost: €40 plus admission to the zoo
Duration: 30 minutes
The event costs (€40) must be paid in advance. Please note the surname of the registrant, the date and the note "sponsored tour" on the bank transfer. Please do not pay via Paypal, as this will incur additional costs. Cancellations up to 24 hours before the start of the event are free of charge. In the event of cancellation at short notice, the costs for the event will be charged.

Children's birthday parties

 

The birthday child has free admission to celebrate their very special day with us!

The very popular children's birthday tours make children's eyes light up and promise an unforgettable experience. The children can feed many of our animals together with the zookeeper, and direct contact with some species is possible if desired. A combination with the gastronomic offer in the zoo is possible by arrangement.

In order to give the children a unique experience, the number of participants is limited to 15 people.

Start: at 2.30 pm at the latest

Duration: 90 minutes

Cost: €50 plus admission for up to 10 children, each additional child €6 per tour

Please note the surname of the person registering, the date and the reference "KiBu" on the bank transfer.

 

Educational school tours

Here, children and young people learn interesting facts about the life and behaviour of our animals in an age-appropriate way and in line with the school curriculum. Please book your preferred date at least 4 weeks in advance.

We will be happy to send you our selection of topics on request.

Primary schools: Cost: €50 plus admission (special price for school classes, one supervisor per 10 children has free admission) Duration: 60 minutes

Secondary schools: Cost: €55 plus admission (at a special price for school classes, one supervisor per 10 children has free admission) Duration: 90 minutes

KITAS & kindergartens: €45 plus admission (at a special price for KITAS and kindergartens, one supervisor per 10 children has free admission) Duration: 45 minutes

The Sparkasse Südholstein Foundation currently offers the opportunity to receive a 50% subsidy on the tour and admission price for educational tours and workshops. You can find more detailed information on the environmental education subsidy programme here:
