Accessibility in the zoo

The paths suitable for wheelchairs and the shade provided by the old trees invite you to enjoy a carefree visit between the spacious animal enclosures.

Please understand that wheelchairs are not permitted in the accessible enclosures in order to avoid the risk of injury to our animals.

There are several modern, handicapped accessible toilet facilities in the zoo.

The zoo provides a limited number of wheelchairs and walking frames free of charge for you.

Please call us on 04321-51402 at least one day before your visit to register the desired use. Wheelchairs and walking frames must be returned 15 minutes before the zoo ticket office closes.

Our playground also has a swing and trampoline suitable for the disabled.
